In a permanent exhibition, the newly renovated city museum presents the city's history from the 17th to the 20th century in chronological order. A colour-coding system enables visitors to find their way around space and time in an unobtrusive way. In the following three sections, the new exhibition is intended to answer the question of how Schkeuditz came to its current structure and what had the greatest influence on the development of the city. Objects from 1,000 years of city history give the visitor a vivid picture of life and development in the city.
Targeted multimedia elements distributed throughout the exhibition deepen the content displayed in the respective area and enable the integration of sound and film documents.
