The neo-baroque sandstone façades take you back to the glamorous days of the Leipzig fur trade.
The stately fur trade building was erected in 1907/1908 by the Leipzig architect Max Pommer and is impressive with its two four-storey sandstone façades in neo-baroque style and the artfully-forged gates in Nikolai and Ritterstraße.
After three years of renovation, the courtyard was inaugurated in 2015 with numerous new commercial and residential spaces. The gilded columns and writings, natural stone floors and wall paintings depict the history of Oelßners Hof.
