Chocolatier Praetsch

Short facts

In the Chocolaterie Praetsch in Wermsdorf, tasty chocolate bars, truffles and nut spreads are created.

The Wermsdorfer Chocolaterie is in an idyllic location near Lake Horst. It was established in 2011 and is now a well-known producer of chocolates and pralines. The cottage industry is run by chocolatier Olav Preaetsch and all its delicious products are lovingly handmade from local, sustainably produced and fair-trade ingredients. There is a large selection of products and you can find any kind of chocolate bar your heart – or rather your mouth – desires from milk chocolate with local hazelnuts to dark chocolate with figs and white chocolate with poppy seeds, to name just a few.

One of the chocolatier's specialities is "Wermsdorf nut spread". It contains 50% nuts and is a local product with almost all the ingredients originating from the area around Wermsdorf. It is the first nut spread to be made exclusively with organic hazelnuts grown in Germany - or in Saxony, to be more precise.

Anyone who loves chocolate and nougat is welcome to come to Wermsdorf and visit the chocolaterie with its production demonstrations, chocolate shop and tastings as well as a charming cafe. Workshops and events on everything to do with chocolate are also on offer.
