Freiberger Mulde: Leisnig - Podelwitz moated castle

Start: Leisnig, Fischendorf, entrance at landing stage at the bridge between state roads 31 and 36, right bank

***Pay attention to the entry times for the protection of nature: all year round 9:30 - 11 o'clock and 14 - 15:30 o'clock***.

• Follow the course of the river to Podelwitz Water Castle, on the left bank you can get off at the stone steps (gastronomy, rest recommended).

Vereinigte Mulde: Podelwitz Water Castle - Grimma

• Route: 12 to 15 km
• Duration: 3 to 4 hours
• Transfer: not necessary

Start: Podelwitz Water Castle; embark at the stone steps at the castle park, left bank

• Passing the Mulde confluence at Erlln/Sermuth (confluence of Freiberger and Zwickauer Mulde), then partial bypassing of large stones and small islands necessary
• Passing the ‘village of the builders’ Kössern, right bank
• Continue to Nimbschen Monastery (left bank, 200 m after passenger ferry, rest recommended)
• Then past replicas of the historic ship mill at Höfgen, the ‘Village of the Senses’ (right bank, recommended rest), pay attention to Mulde shipping (priority!)
