The MDR choirs and orchestra have their rehearsal, concert and studio rooms in the black cube on Augustusplatz in the middle of the city, right next to the Gewandhaus and the City Hochhaus. The three ensembles, MDR RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, MDR RADIO CHOIR and MDR CHILDREN'S CHOIR, give guest performances in Leipzig and throughout the broadcasting area. In addition, the musicians regularly perform for CD, radio and TV productions.
